ELLEN KAYE

Ellen is a singer/songwriter, producer and entrepreneur. Together with her partner Alan Joseph, Ellen has created Old Bones Odyssey – The Project (OBO). OBO explores American history through the portal of Ellen’s philosophical family tree. Currently told through the new album “Old Bones Odyssey-The Album,” co-written with Ethan Fein, living virtually on the OBO Blog (through album liner notes), with live performances and, coming soon, companion podcast episodes.
Ellen has released 4 CDs: “Old Bones Odyssey-the double album, Ice Wine: songs for Christmas & dark winter nights, 3AM…the dogs, the milkman & me with Tony Romano, 2AM with Jed Distler, Tom Dempsey, Dom Richards and Donny McCaslin. A single, When I Was A Boy, written by Dar Williams.
Ellen has been performing in a wide variety of venues in New York City and beyond, including, the Iridium Jazz Club, the Metropolitan Room, the Paramount Theater, Town Hall, UN Women NY, Chez Josephine, Cornelia Street Cafe, LaMama E.T.C. and her former live music venue Moscow 57.
Early on she played at the Monkey Bar, the Russian Tea Room Cabaret, and Carnegie Hall with the New York Pops Orchestra.

BILL MOSS

Bill has spent more than 30 years recording a wide range of artists including Lena Horne, Elvis Costello, Lionel Hampton, Arturo O’Farrill, John Pizzarelli and remarkably, Big Bird. After studying Music Recording and Production at the Institute of Audio Research, he began working in the legendary Nola Recording Studios with Jimmy Czak. A few of the golden moments during Bill’s time at Nola; a Latin Grammy (The Chico O’Farrill Afro-Cuban Jazz Orchestra:Final Night At Birdland), nominations for 3 Daytime Emmys (Sesame Street) and a Grammy Nomination for Best Engineered, Non-classical recording (Elvis Costello: North). Bill went on to work at NYPR becoming a Senior Broadcast Engineer.He recorded and mixed news features for All Things Considered and Morning Edition (including the weekly segment Money Talking), episodes of Soundcheck, Death Sex and Money, The Sporkful, and Ask Me Another, along with dozens of live broadcasts from Carnegie Hall, Brooklyn Academy of Music and Merkin Concert Hall. Bill has his own recording/production company specializing in remote concert recording and studio production. And recently built a new studio for his work.

ETHAN FEIN
Composer, Arranger, Guitar, Banjo
Ethan Fein is the co-writer with Ellen Kaye on “Old Bones Odyssey” the album. He is also the arranger and plays guitar and banjo. Over the years Ethan has been musical director, arranger, band leader and musician for multiple productions in partnership with Ellen Kaye and Seth Goldman. Together they ran Moscow 57, the live music venue, produced the podcasts “M57 Straight From Delancey,” and “M57 On-Air Urban Salon,” and created pop-ups from New York to New Orleans.
Ethan has been an accompanist to Oliver (hit records: “Good Morning Starshine” and “Jean”); Elly Stone, Marvin Hamlisch, Eartha Kitt, Bernadette Peters, Joel Grey, Carole King, Kristin Chenoweth, Gregory Hines, Maurice Hines, Wayne Brady, Ben Vereen, Ann Hampton Callaway, Regina Carter, Regis Philbin, Nell Carter, Maureen McGovern, Eleanor Reissa, Sally Mayes, Cy Coleman, Ann Reinking, Allan Jones, Sara Zelle, Julie Budd, Buddy Greco, Monica Patton, Arthur Tracy (“The Street Singer”), Tad Truesdale
and His Afro-Caribbeans, Tony Randall, the Queens Symphony Orchestra, and the house band for the benefit concerts for
Paul Newman’s Hole In The Wall Gang Camp.
Ethan was the guitarist in the original Broadway production of Cats for 18 years, and the orchestra house contractor for the last 10 years of the run; and a substitute guitarist on Broadway in West Side Story (1980), 42nd Street (both productions 1980 and 2001), The Full Monty, and Bring Back Birdie.
DIANE MONROE

Diane Monroe is a violinist whose versatility and expressive artistry consistently bring both jazz and classical audiences to their feet. Her visibility as a jazz artist began with her long-standing membership as first violinist of the Uptown String Quartet and the Max Roach Double Quartet. These critically acclaimed groups have appeared on The Cosby Show, CBS News Sunday Morning, and Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood. Monroe is more, however, than simply a fine performer. Her original compositions and arrangements were highlighted on the TV shows and in performances with the two ensembles at major concert halls and festivals throughout the world.

ANDREW DRELLES
woodwinds
Andy Drelles plays all the saxophones, clarinet, bass clarinet, flute, alto flute, oboe and English horn. Andy, born in Detroit, moved to New York City and began to play extensively in the pit orchestras of numerous Broadway shows, including 42nd Street, Steel Pier, Crazy for You, Gypsy, Minelli on Minelli, and Smile. He has also performed with Alpha Orchestra, Bernadette Peters, Steve Lawrence & Eydie Gorme, Robert Goulet, Don Rickles, and Cab Calloway to name a few and has recorded with cabaret singers Karen Akers and Phillip Officer. More recently Andy plays clarinet in the Hudson Valley Symphonic Wind Ensemble and has performed and recorded with Ellen Kaye.
KOA HO

Koa Ho is a bassist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer. He is an alumnus of the prestigious Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing & Visual Arts as well as the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music, where he trained within both the classical and jazz disciplines.

ZACH MULLINGS
drums
Zachary Mullings makes music; he is a composer, music director, and instrumentalist from New York City. Since graduating from Berklee College of Music in 2014, he has been sought after by Grammy Award -Winners like Ms. Lauryn Hill and Chance The Rapper, as well as Tony Award-Winners like Renee Elise Goldsberry and Adrienne Warren. He has served as music director for pop band A R I Z O N A since 2021. Mullings is a big Broadway fan, and has performed in orchestra pits on 4 different Tony-Award Winning Broadway Musicals: Dear Evan Hansen, MJ: The Musical, Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, and Paradise Square. He was awarded the Harold Wheeler Scholarship from MUSE, an organization that seeks to create diversity in the music departments in the theater industry.

JACKIE PRESTI

Jackie Presti has appeared on hundreds of national ad campaigns, sung with many artists including Garth Brooks, Celine Dion, Run DMC, and Rosie McDonnell and has appeared on Kathy Lee and Regis, Radio City Christmas Spectacular, Rainbow Room TV specials, Grammy Awards, Academy Awards, Tony Awards and John Oliver.

SOARA-JOYE ROSS

Soara-Joye Ross has a vibrant acting/singing career. She was in the cast of Hadestown on Broadway. Her previous Broadway performances were in Les Miserables and Dance of the Vampires. She has many credits Off-Broadway and internationally, including with Gladys Knight in Smokey Joe’s Cafe.

PERRY CAVARI

Perry plays drums on Broadway: A Bronx Tale; Something Rotten; Promises, Promises; Young Frankenstein; The Drowsy Chaperone; Fosse; Oklahoma; The Producers; Victor/Victoria; and Grand Hotel. Movies: Hail Caesar, The Producers. Disney’s Hercules at Paper Mill Playhouse. Perry has played with Rufus Wainwright, Beth Level, Ken Page, and Norm Lewis among many others.
